Mental Age: A Psychological Investigation
Psychologists have been studying and measuring a different kind of mental age since 1905, despite the fact that we frequently use the term "mental age" to refer to how a person acts, which is largely based on stereotypes. Alfred Binet, a French psychologist, first used the term and developed the first mental age test at that time. Professionals have tried a variety of tests to determine a person's mental age over the years. The Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS), created in 1955 by Romanian psychologist David Wechsler, is currently the most widely used test for determining a person's mental age.
